Three new members strengthen the Board of Directors of CAT Financial Products Ltd for the strategic development of its technological platform

ZURICH, March 10, 2022 - With Michael Hartweg,
Dr. Beat Hodel and Valerio Roncone,
CAT Financial Products AG (CATFP) has succeeded in strengthening its Board of Directors with proven experts in finance. Their expertise in the areas of risk & compliance, operations and technology provides the ideal foundation for the further expansion of CATFP's financial products and technology platform. Together with the existing directors, the new members will further drive the strategic direction of the fintech company.

The overall composition of the Board of Directors of
CAT Financial Products AG is now as follows:

Michael Hartweg is an entrepreneur and investor with more than 25 years of experience in investments and financial services. As a founding partner of Leonteq, Michael Hartweg was responsible for building and developing one of the most successful FinTech companies in Europe, which is listed on the Swiss stock exchange since October 2012. Prior to founding Leonteq, Michael Hartweg held senior trading and structuring positions at Goldman Sachs and Commerzbank. He holds a master's degree in Economics and Engineering from the University of Karlsruhe, Germany. Today, Michael Hartweg is an investor and advisor to companies in the financial, technology and sports sectors.

Beat Hodel joined the commercial business of Swiss Volksbank after obtaining his doctorate in finance. Later on, he founded HPC, which specialized in financing solutions and risk management, and held a lectureship in financial management at the University of Fribourg. In 1997, as a member of the Executive Board of ATAG Ernst & Young Consulting AG, he took over the management of the banking consultancy, later as senior partner of Ernst & Young AG, the Special Assurance & Advisory Services Financial Services. In 2002, he founded an audit-independent consulting firm, which he later incorporated into the COMIT Group. In 2005, Beat Hodel joined the Raiffeisen Group as Head of Group Risk Management. As of 2018, he was appointed Head of the new Risk & Compliance Department by the Board of Directors and became a member of the Executive Board. Since 2020, Beat Hodel has been active as an advisor and investor. He also brings his more than 35 years of experience to FinTechs and the pro bono promotion of start-ups. Valerio Roncone completed a commercial apprenticeship at Bank Cantrade AG in Zurich in 1986 and obtained a diploma in business administration FH from the KV Zurich Business School in 1996.

Valerio Roncone has more than 35 years of professional experience in the financial sector. In particular, he worked in the securities back office of Bank Julius Bär & Co. AG, where he was also Head of Banking Operations and member of the GL COF-ITO division. At Leonteq, Valerio Roncone was responsible for Operational Services until 2013. Since 2013, he has been responsible for various areas at SIX Securities Services Ltd. Daniel Eggenberger, existing member of the Board of Directors, is an entrepreneur with 20 years of banking experience (Schweizerische Volksbank, Banca del Gottardo, Yamaichi Bank). Later he founded and managed a FINMA regulated securities dealer with focus on market making and treasury services for professional clients. Today, Daniel Eggenberger chairs 15 domestic and foreign companies and is a board member in two other companies in the areas of investments, energy, financial services, licenses and patents, real estate and gastronomy. Since June 2021, Daniel Eggenberger has been a member of the Board of Directors of CATFP.

Heinz Barmettler, existing member of the Board of Directors, completed a banking apprenticeship at Bank Hofmann Zurich in 1970. After a one-year stay in London, he spent 10 years with Dow Banking Corporation/Royal Trust, Zurich, setting up an asset management company. In 1983, together with another partner, he founded the asset management company Robafin/Robabond/Triaxis. During this time he was also active as a board member in various finance companies. Since 2015, Heinz Barmettler has been a member of the Board of Directors of CATFP.

Urs Meister, existing member of the Board of Directors, graduated from the University of St. Gallen in 1986 as lic.oec. HSG. Urs Meister has been working in the financial industry for more than 35 years, especially in trading and portfolio management. In 1992 he co-founded the RMF Group in Pfäffikon SZ. Since 2007 he is Senior Portfolio Manager at SUVA.

David Schmid, partner and shareholder of CATFP, is pleased about the competent addition to the Board of Directors: "The new directors bring excellent knowledge in the business with structured products.
